To provide expertise and services Information, Communication and Technology function.
This Unit will perform the following activities:-
i. Manage ICT infrastructure at Commission and network systems
ii. Implement ICT and e-Government policy;
iii. Provide services on application of ICT to the Commission;
iv. Manage installation, configuration, upgrade, and migration of the database and related new releases;
v. Manage data backups, storage and recovery during development, implementation and periodical testing;
vi. Plan for current and future database and systems development needs;
vii. Manage ICT security including authentication, authorization and auditing;
viii. Monitor the database server on a regular basis to identify bottlenecks;
ix. Prepare and supervise compliance with IT policy, procedures and rules;
x. Manage database troubleshooting processes; and
xi. Manage database user support and training on the best use of the database.
