Objective

To provide legal advice services to the Commission. This Unit will perform the following activities: -

1. 1. 1. Ensure that all legal matters are handled professionally and in a timely manner in best interest of the Commission;
      2. Provide legal advice, opinion and guidance to the Management, Executive Secretary and the Commission staff;
      3. Advise the Commission on matters pertaining to all legislation and policies, rules and regulations made thereunder, Government circulars and all other Commission administrative directives governing the Commission, to ensure compliance with the Commission's policies and statutory requirements;
      4. Support the Commission's business objectives by ensuring the safety of Commission's assets and properties;

(vj Draft or peruse, vet and finalize legal documents and advise on all legal issues pertaining to contractual and non-contractual obligations entered by the Commission; and

(vi) Attend all lawsuits filed against or on behalf of the Commission. This Unit will be led by a Head.
